Reducing emissions, increasing biodiversity

Lovely cafe Seed and Soul already offer plant-based food and natural hemp products. For Dingle COP, they have pledged to reduce single-use items by offering 2GoCups and 2GoBowls for their drinks, smoothie bowls, and salads. How does it work? Customers put down a deposit of €2 for a cup or €3 for a bowl, and can return them after use to any participating cafe and get their deposit back or swap them for a new 2Go cup/bowl. Seed and Soul also plan to offer reusable smoothie/iced coffee cups this summer. Learn more about 2GoCups here.

One of Dingle's most colourful and eclectic galleries, Dingle Artworks on Green Street is full of original art, prints, calendars, books, and greetings cards.

They have pledged to move away from using plastic bags for their greetings cards and switch to using paper holders instead.

Historic boarding school, Coláiste Íde, are committed to supporting local biodiversity. The school grounds cover an area of 107 acres, of which 57 acres are woodland.

Coláiste Íde have pledged to gather plant plugs of native vegetation and replant them in other areas in their grounds, sow native wildflower seeds, and change their grass-mowing regime.
