Reducing emissions, increasing biodiversity

Stay YNA manage luxury and boutique holiday rentals in Corca Dhuibhne, the French Riviera, and Britain. As long-term advocates for sustainable tourism, Stay YNA provide Welcome baskets that contain locally-produced items, biodegradable packaging, and plastic-free refills. They use Ecoleaf washing up liquid in their properties, support waste separation, and offer an "Eco Collection" of holiday homes that enables clients to choose holiday rentals that use renewable energy sources, are energy-efficient, and are made from natural materials.

Stay YNA are always looking for ways to reduce their impact on the environment and they've pledged to transition to eco-friendly toilet paper for all of their Irish properties. They'll also be researching more ways to help their clients preserve and have minimal impact on the stunning environment of Corca Dhuibhne.

Dingle Surf have been supporting the Dingle surfing and swimming community since 2001, and their passion for the ocean has led them to be extremely mindful of the need to protect it. As a result, they are continually looking for ways to reduce the plastic in their business, from choosing till rolls without a plastic centre to stocking ear plugs that are almost entirely made from recycled ocean plastic and repurposed silicone.

For Dingle COP, they have pledged to completely phase out petroleum-based neoprene suits and replace them with
C-Skins wetsuits made of FSC certified natural plant-based rubber neoprene with a recycled inner mesh lining. Phase one starts with top-end wetsuits, which are in store this week, just in time for our Dingle COP November deadline. Learn more about

Dingle Lit is the annual Dingle Literary festival that's on from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th November. During the festival, Dingle will be packed with workshops and events for adults and children, with a huge roster of local and visiting writers.

For Dingle COP, Dingle Lit have pledged to reduce the number of brochures printed for this year’s festival by 40% and they'll continue with this initiative next year to look at further ways to reduce their environmental impact. Also this year, they'll feature the winning entries for their inaugural short story competition in the brochure, and will save paper by including a short intro for each winner alongside a QR code that readers can scan to read the story online.
