Tig Feirme Gleann Loic B&B is a local farm and B&B that has long practiced rewilding to support biodiversity in Dunquin. They are one of only 18 Irish businesses selected for the CE4RT (Circular Economy for Regenerative Tourism) program.
Tig Feirme Gleann Loic B&B were one of Dingle COP's early supporters and pledged to plant native trees and conserve wildflower areas to support biodiversity.
Our COP volunteers visited the farm to see how Padraig has achieved his COP pledge.
This first photo (above) shows Padraig beside his new wildflower area. Species growing here include spurge, dandelion, plantain, cat's ear, creeping buttercup, angelica, vetch, foxglove, and a variety of grasses.
The photos below show the rich diversity of hedgerow and new native trees that include naturalised species such as wild rose and fuchsia, and native species such as nettles, hawthorn, and blackthorn.
Thank you Padraig and Tig Feirme Gleann Loic B&B for joining Dingle COP!
